- The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales now incorporates the Brecknock Wildlife Trust. It manages 19 nature reserves (a location map is at the bottom of their link) covering over 250 hectares within 30 miles of Brecon. The Trust organizes conservation work, local lectures and events and carries out wildlife projects and education at all levels. There is an office in Brecon. The closest reserves to Senni Valley that they manage are, using OS sheet 160, are (1) Cae Bryntywarch Nature Reserve (2) Allt Rhongyr Nature Reserve with Craig y Rhiwarth Nature Reserve and (3) Daudraeth Illtyd Nature Reserve. They have a printed booklet with details of all 19 sites.
- Brecon Beacons Park Society has worked with the Authority since 1992, organizing walks, lectures and events.
- A number of people take part in Walking, Book, Computing skills, Family History and other groups, often on an ad hoc basis.
