Birds

There are many resident and migratory birds to be seen in the Senni Valley. Bird boxes have been put out in the upper Senni Valley by Ayden for several decades. Photos of tawny owls and films of peregrine falcons have been taken in Senni Valley over the years by people with special interests in these species.

Local breeding populations also include red kites, ravens, buzzards, tawny owls, nut hatches, marsh tits, dippers and kingfishers.

The following 95 species of birds have been noted in the 10 km grid square SN92, that includes the Senni Valley. The list was updated on Saturday, 14/04/2007 by BirdTrack and kindly provided by Gareth Rees.
